AdBlue is a must-have for SCR systems of diesel-powered vehicles. Previously KLS has carried out the first enterprise standard Q/3200KLS01—2009 about AdBlue in China, and then KLS started to cooperate with such famous universities as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nanjing University to research on SCR emission. Based on the present researched data, KLS products totally comply with the International quality standard ISO22241-2 about AdBlue. In the near future when Chinese IV Standard completely implemented, the auto plants and engine factories will undoubtedly benefit a lot from KLS AdBlue.
Recent statistics shows that on average a car would release at least 3KG CO, 0.2-0.4KG hydrocarbons and 0.05-0.15KG NOx per day. To be frank, over 50% of NOx in the air in most metropolises in China comes from auto exhaust emissions and the emission pollution has replaced coal-smoke pollution to be the main pollution source in recent years. Six days before, while the ceremony of 2009 ten millionth vehicle’s roll-off grandly took place on Oct. 20th, it is very clear that Chinese III will sooner or later update to Chinese IV to be in accord with needs of environmental protection.
SCR system (Selective Catalytic Reduction) is the best choice for diesel-powered vehicles for not only its conformity with Chinese IV Standard but also the low cost and simple maintenance so that most auto factories insist that SCR will be the focus point of updating emission standard. In fact, AdBlue is essential to SCR systems, however no enough quantity of AdBlue is available in China, which makes part of the manufacturers hard to upgrade SCR systems.
At present, KLS with its advanced technology and equipments, has AdBlue production capacity of 600 thousand tons per year. Some foresighted auto factories have focused on SCR market and intended to get more market share in the near future when Chinese IV Standard completely implemented.
