Environment Protection Department declared that China will completely implement Chinese IV Emission Standard to replace Chinese III Emission Standard for light-duty trucks.
It is reported that EU countries have integrated specifications on carbon emission into the standard system and our government may list this item into the Chinese IV Standard as well. Related exports state that we have been referring to regulations of EU to frame some certain statutes.
However, with the increasing development of technology and scale of the domestic automobile industry, it is necessary to set up regulations with Chinese characteristics to better protect environment and the domestic auto industries. At the same time, our independent brands can also help to restrict invasion of abroad brands, such as America, which from the beginning has carried out the complete different regulations which range from structure to content, even to testing methods from that of EU’s to protect their own national auto industries.
